This page tracks progress in the primary CyberShake work areas.

Extended Earthquake Rupture Forecast

  • New version of CyberShake rupture generator integrated into CyberShake 1.2 study. (15 Feb 2011)

California Velocity Model

  • Maechling, Magistrale discussion about CVM-S and state-wide CVM development (23 March 2011)
  • State-wide CVM meeting with USR Harvard (10 March 2011)
  • Release of CVM-H with geotechnical Model (20 Feb 2011)

CyberShake Parallel Code

  • CyberShake working group call on Workflow monitoring (Dan Gunter, LBNL) and development of AWP-Olsen version of CyberShake code (23 March 2011)
  • R.W. Graves SGT and seismogram synthesis code validated at 0.5Hz (April 2010)

Automated Testing Framework

  • Evaluation of Okaya simulation specification format (20 March 2011)
  • Meeting at ISI on workflow-based Framework (16 March 2011)

CyberShake Research Computing

  • CyberShake 1.2 SGT calculations for multiple CyberShake site queued to get broader view of impact on hazard estimate using CVM-H v11.2 we will calculate approximate 10 hazard curve SGT. We will then calculate hazard curves using both 1.0 and 1.1 rupture models. (21 March 2011)
  • CyberShake 1.2 Calculation of USC hazard curve using CVM-H v11.2. Impact on hazard curve was to increase the hazard estimate for this site. (10 March 2011
  • CyberShake 1.1 hazard curves using new Graves Rupture Generator. Impact on hazard curves from new rupture parametrization was, in general, to slightly reduce the hazard. (30 Jan 2011)
