Problem description for TPV36 and TPV37 - Shallow Dip Thrust Fault.

TPV36 and TPV37 are being done in collaboration with the CRESCENT DET Working Group.

 

These benchmarks explore a 15-degree dipping thrust fault in a linear elastic medium, as shown in the following table.

Benchmark Dimension Rupture Type Material Properties
TPV36 3D Rupture reaches the Earth's surface. Linear elastic.
TPV37 3D Rupture stops without reaching the Earth's surface. Linear elastic.
