* launch a handful of 10,000 year ETAS simulations for Ned (will also be useful for generating recurrence plots)
* met with Jon Stewart, Kioumars, and Christine on site amplification framework
* revamp ETAS analysis framework to be able to handle datasets that are larger than available memory
* AGU reimbursement
** iteration over large binary data files, loading in one catalog at a time for processing
* fixed bug with UCERF3-TD data file calculation, looks like some figures affected as well (online supplement)
* tracked down bug in UCERF3-TD data file posted in electronic supplements
** redid calculations

Yesterday:

  • met with Jon Stewart, Kioumars, and Christine on site amplification framework
  • AGU reimbursement
  • fixed bug with UCERF3-TD data file calculation, looks like some figures affected as well (online supplement)
    • redid calculations

Today:

  • post processing 10,000 year ETAS simulations (require some special treatment since they're so huge)
  • post updated UCERF3-TD data files
  • start working on splitting Inter/Intra event Std Dev support to OpenSHA NGA-West2 implementations
  • talk with Scott on CyberShake/UCERF3 experiment path forward
  • free up /work space on stampede (use globus online to stage files to back to USC)

Blocked:

no

Followups:

Ned, Scott

Lower priority or longer term tasks

  • Fill in missing site/rupture distances in CyberShake DB for ERF 36 (200m)
  • finish mapping of historical earthquakes to UCERF3 ruptures in order to run ETAS simulations of aftershock sequences
