We would like to validate that the media with the small-scale heterogeneities that are being generated with the new C code are correct. One way to do this would be to take a look at some cross-sections to see if the generated heterogeneities look correct.

Below are four cross sections from the Northridge 3000x3000x2048 mesh. They are at the surface (0 depth), 512 (25% depth), 1024 (50% depth), 1536 (75% depth), and 2048 (100% depth - i.e. the bottom).
