Yesterday:
- listened in on Project 17 call
- exported simulator moment rate time series to matlab for spectral analysis
- re-read notes from my data analysis class on spectral analysis
- generated FFT amplitude and Welch's power spectrum plots for simulator data which show that the observed 200 year periodicity in moment rate is not an artifact of the moment rate averaging method
Today:
- meet with Tom on simulator moment rate analysis and potential AGU abstract
- implement new simulator synchronization plot method that Tom found
- generate synthetic UCERF3-TD based catalogs and apply moment rate spectral analysis to compare with simulator
