Agenda Updated: 9 September 2010

Desired Outcome of Meeting: Computational Science Research Plan for SCEC/CME during SCEC4.

Meeting Format: As Principal Investigator on CME projects, Thomas Jordan will present an introduction to SCEC4 computational science needs, and will help to ensure the discussions address both the opportunities and challenges faced by CME.

The meeting will consist of four main discussion sessions on (1) SCEC CVM development and improvements, (2) Stress Evolution and Dynamic Ruptures, (3) Higher Frequency Ground Motion Modeling, and (4) Time-dependent PSHA and Event Response Modeling.

For each topic, we will have session co-leaders. We've asked each co-leader to present 10 minutes describing their recommendations for CME computational science research in the area during SCEC4. Discussion periods are built into the agenda.

Due to the busy SCEC meeting agenda, we recognize this CME meeting is scheduled at the same time as the SCEC Source Inversion workshop and many group members want to participate in both meetings.

The CME meeting will be informal and moving between meetings will be necessary. The CME meeting chair keep the CME meeting on schedule so that the you can accurately determine the time specific topics will be discussed as the CME meeting.
