Yesterday:

• ETAS work:
  • worked on estimating mode of arbitrarily discretized empirical distribution
  • eventually realized that ETAS catalogs are evenly discretized
  • added map based plot of nucleation rates
  • added histograms of event generations

Today:

• ETAS work:
  • map historical earthquakes to UCERF3 ruptures in order to run ETAS simulations of aftershock sequences
  • modify ETAS simulation code to work with arbitrary start time (e.g. right after occurrence of historical EQ)
  • more plot additions
• get Kioumars' simplified site amplification prototype working to use as test case against my implementation
