ANSS earthquake used in evaluation are used under the following conditions: (1) The ANSS catalog defines earthquake parameters for a M3.0+ earthquake, (2) We have ShakeMap data for the event, and (3) one (or both) CISN EEW algorithms triggered and produced event forecasts (e.g. final magnitude forecast) or site forecasts (e.g. forecast peak ground velocity at site) for each event.

These CISN EEW performance summaries were produced interactively using recent CISN EEW performance reports from ETH Virtual Seismologist and Caltech OnSite algorithms.

These summaries evaluate performance of the CISN EEW algorithms for approximately 20 ANSS earthquakes, primarily recent (June 2011) southern California events Magnitude 3.0 and larger. These summaries evaluate CISN algorithms software and not recent ShakeAlert system.
