We will linearly interpolate the layers with this rule: Vp,Vs, and rho values are linearly interpolated between layer n to n+1.  We decided to linearly interpolate this model to avoid issues with the step function and to more closely match the average.

The following plots show a 1D velocity model that we will use for our CyberShake 14.2 Production run. This is a layer model. We will linearly interpolate the layers with this rule: Vp,Vs, and rho values are linearly interpolated between layer n to n+1.
