* wrote wrapper script for FastMPJ on stampede to detect error on launch and internal FastMPJ communications errors during runtime and automatically restart calculationg (without exiting stampede job and giving up spot in the queue)
+
* post processed ETAS jobs on stampede for Ned, sent plots
* contacted Mike Hearne at USGS for help accessing USGS Garcia Regions
+
* sent UCERF3-TD fault probabilities and documentation to user
* responded to broken link request related to materials at scec.org/ucerf which no longer exists.

* workaround for path issues with FastMPJ wrapper script on stampede
** forwarded to web team and sent the information requested directly in the meantime

* started servlet to wrap perl scipt for fetching Garcia regions
* wrote parallel code to calculate characteristic-ness of each fault subsection across all UCERF3 logic tree branches, ran and sent results to Ned

Yesterday:

  • post processed ETAS jobs on stampede for Ned, sent plots
  • sent UCERF3-TD fault probabilities and documentation to user
  • workaround for path issues with FastMPJ wrapper script on stampede
  • started servlet to wrap perl scipt for fetching Garcia regions

Today:

  • queue up weekend ETAS runs for Ned
  • modify parallel ETAS code for latest Ned refactoring: remove GR-correction in favor of maximum characteristic factor parameter
  • launch a bunch of short multi node FastMPJ scripts, hoping for a failure to see if FastMPJ wrapper scipt is successfully detecting/restarting on a failure to launch
  • respond to more questions about UCERF3-TD sub section probabilities
  • finish wrapper for Garcia regions perl script for now since USGS webservice that we want to use eventually is on an internal webservice

Lower priority or longer term tasks

  • Fill in missing site/rupture distances in CyberShake DB for ERF 36 (200m)
  • finish mapping of historical earthquakes to UCERF3 ruptures in order to run ETAS simulations of aftershock sequences
