Broadband CyberShake aggregate comparisons

This page documents the process of creating aggregate comparisons of Broadband CyberShake results. The goal is to produce high-level quantitative data products that illustrate how the 3D CyberShake and 1D BBP approaches are doing when compared to observations.

Proposed Algorithm

Separately, for BBP and CyberShake results:

  1. For each validation event, average the residuals over all stations and all realizations. This will produce one value for each period for each validation event. We expect that this value should be the same as the line produced in the purple plots, but we will check this assumption.
  2. Average the values over all validation events. This should produce one average value for each period.
